Scriptures and Quotes
Come Away by yourselves to a deserted place, and rest awhile. - Mark 6:31
Though he falls, he will not be overwhelmed, because the Lord God holds his hand. - Psalm 37:24
But God shows his love for us in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. - Romans 5:8
Before I formed you in the womb, I knew you, and before you were born I set you apart. - Jeremiah 1:5
Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me; for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light. - Matthew 11:28-30
“Our avoidance of our hearts is costing us our abundance.”
Man, tempted by the devil, let his trust in his creator die in his heart. - CCC 397
As he landed he saw a great throng, and he had compassion on them, because they were like sheep without a shepherd; and he began to teach them many things. - Mark 6:34
For thus says the Lord GOD: Behold, I, I myself will search for my sheep and will seek them out. As a shepherd seeks out his flock when some of his sheep have been scattered abroad, so will I seek out my sheep; and I will rescue them from all places where they have been scattered. - Ezekiel 34:11-12
I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd lays down his life for his sheep. I came that they may have life and have it abundantly. - John 10:11, 10
He restores my soul. - Psalm 23:3
But the Lord has become my stronghold, and my God the rock of my refuge. - Psalm 94:22
I have called you by name, you are mine. - Isaiah 43:1
“God has created me to do Him some definite service. He has committed some work to me which He has not committed to another. I have my mission. I may never know it in this life, but I shall be told it in the next. I am a link in a chain, a bond of connection between persons. He has not created me for naught. I shall do good; I shall do His work. I shall be an angel of peace, a preacher of truth in my own place, while not intending it if I do but keep His commandments. Therefore, I will trust Him, whatever I am, I can never be thrown away. If I am in sickness, my sickness may serve Him, in perplexity, my perplexity may serve Him. If I am in sorrow, my sorrow may serve Him. He does nothing in vain. He knows what He is about. He may take away my friends. He may throw me among strangers. He may make me feel desolate, make my spirits sink, hide my future from me. Still, He knows what He is about.” - St. John Henry Newman
“The world doesn’t need what women have, it needs what women are." - St. Edith Stein
